Soweto is a place that signifies the meaning of freedom and serves as an icon of what can be achieved through perseverance and the belief that any living being has the right to be who they are without any prejudice. Miss Soweto is an ambassador of that extraordinary legacy and even more so as a woman, because she is part of a struggle that has been raging for much, much longer.
The highly anticipated 2010 Crowning Miss Soweto Reality show, proudly presented by MTN, is currently airing on Soweto TV (DSTV Channel 150) and has succeeded in introducing viewers to the lifestyle of being in the centre of one of the most cherished heritage townships in South Africa, as part of the ongoing search for Soweto’s most beautiful and inspirational woman.
Viewers are encouraged to take part in the selection of Miss “SoAyobaWeto” by texting their favourite contestant’s name to 43045.

The final Miss Soweto 2010 pageant is set to take place on the 29th of October 2010 at The MTN Expo Centre, NASREC @ 19h00.

Miss Soweto... One usually thinks of those ghetto girls who cannot string an english sentence together, but i won't lie, my views on Miss Soweto have changed after i watched Crowning Miss Soweto on Soweto TV
ReplyDeleteThese girls are not only beutiful, they also have something between their two ears. I was and still am impressed. I don't have a favorate as I am not really a follower of the show and these kinds of reality shows bore me to death.
Good luck to all the girls and I am sure they all deserved to get this far in the competition
